Jessy and Nessy - Yellow Car

Now that the mixed media kids animation show 'Jessy and Nessy' has been live on Amazon Prime for a while now I am able to show some of the work that I contributed. Here I was assigned several background cars to model and texture. They needed to be heavily stylised and differ from the realistic cars as they would only ever feature when Jessy was wearing her 'inspectacles', which would allow her to enter new worlds through her imagination. The concepts provided were quite open so I was fortunate to be given quite a lot of creative freedom with these.

For the Yellow Car design I was inspired by curvy classic cars like the Volkswagen Beetle. Though they are mostly only seen in the opening establishing shots of each episode these were a lot of fun to make!
